Botas is an artist from Drachten (The Netherlands). He was born in 1970. As a little boy he was always drawing in his school books, instead of learning from them. Botas his background is the ´University of life´ in which he selected the direction ´Free art´. He uses a variety of materials and techniques, but in his paintings he uses mostly acrylic paint and ink.
The art of Botas always has a story to tell. The paintings he makes, come from his daily life. Just by living it, he gets his ideas. His paintings always look cheerful, even if they involve a sad or serious subject. Every time he proves that cheerful and serious go very well together.
