Ellen van Stijn (Dutch)studied at the Art Academy of Arnhem and qualified as a first degree teacher in photography, drawing and painting. Following the completion of her degree she went to the University of Amsterdam and studied "Comperative Art Sciences". During and after studying she worked as a teacher and photographer. Her favourite themes as a photographer are architecture and nature. She loves to shoot photos with a certain mysterious touch or which almost turn out to be abstract, and always looks for a tensed composiion and for well balanced colours.
Ellen van Stijn also gives workshops Digital Photograpy in France (www.maisonvanstijn.eu)and designs websites and graphics. Together with her sister she runs an Art Gallery and Gites in France.
