‘I just never stopped drawing’
Lon Hendriks (05/06/1970) started her professional art carrier in the beginning of the nineties. Her focus then lies on illustrations and comics and gets published in several
magazines such as Strictly, Veronica magazine, Esquire and HP/ De Tijd.
Starting 2000 Lon refocuses her attention to painting. She also does her first action paint as stage act and has become a well known figure in the action paint circuit in clubs and on festivals. Her artwork is now part of the new art movement that is insured by the techniques of the street.
Lon Hendriks prefers the spontaneous creation process over a thought image. She brings them to life using a variety of self developed techniques. Art, comics and graphics are bound together in a sketch like manner to create a strong, colourful and unique image that tends to leave a strong impression on the viewer. She portraits the modern man in a modern way.
