The central design in this painting depicts the rockhole at Kalipinpa, a major Water Dreaming site, north of Sandy Blight Junction. The other lines show the sandhills surrounding the area. This is the artist’s father’s country.
A group of women camped at the site performing the dances and singing the songs associated with the area.
They also gathered the edible berries known as kampurarrpa or desert raisin from the small shrub Solanum central.
