The main theme in my oeuvre of digital art is the tensionfield between the individual and society, the different components against a larger whole. The apparent chaos of life and the unity in this chaos. The soul that lives in every detail.

Nowadays, the individual is overwelmd with images, information, products, social expectations, ... and he has the freedom to choose. A choice that also includes a responsibility and it isn'nt always easy to do so. One can easily get lost in this maze. You can just go by the flow of mainstream and be lived or if you want to live consciously, the possibilities are inexhaustible.

On the other hand to the richness of the contemporary world, we now live with the threat of global warming and climate change, extinction of species and the loss of control over our environment.

My artworks express the uncertainty, desperation, anger and fear, but also the delight you can experience in this circumstances, sometimes an escape from reality in the magical- fantastic or, to the contrary, the hard possibilities for the future we're heading to.
