Bystander (#986)
Sean Lewis is a fine art landscape photographer based in Sussex. His aim is to show the essence of nature as an art form. Through his work he strives to move beyond the contraints of the illustrative and find balance and harmony on the borderline between the descriptive and the evocative, essentially to translate the mood and feeling of the inner exploration of the landscape and his connection with it via form, texture and light.
Sean studied photography [mostly black and white] in Brighton in the late nineties and acquired a good knowledge in technique, theory, developing and printing. In more recent years, Sean has discovered the unique and unparalleled quality of velvia colour transparency film and he now works exclusivly with 5x4” large format camera equipment working in colour and black and white, which ever suits the mood of the scene. Sean has had work published in books and magazines, and he is currently working around southern England especially along the coastline. Through his photography Sean hopes to communicate his vision of exploration, discovery and beauty within the landscape. The prints available are limited editions of 50 per image. Each are mounted, numbered and signed by the artist and come with a certificate of authenticity. Other Items by Sean Lewis
