Teaching Classes and Courses
Working from my studio in North West London, I offer introduction and advanced classes using metal clay (PMC and Art Clay Silver) and polymer clay (Kato, Fimo and Sculpey-Premo) in both small groups and one to one sessions. I also teach 'An introduction to Metal clay' at City Lit www.citylit.ac.uk, mixed media classes at the Mid Cornwall School of Jewellery www.mcsj.co.uk and polymer clay at Great Missenden Adult Ed college. www.adultlearningbcc.ac.uk
My aim is to encourage and inspire creativity in a relaxed and fun environment. I am delighted to share my teaching experience and passion for jewellery making using both these remarkable materials. Metal clay and polymer clay are new and dynamic, both are very different; pure silver and plastic, but both are complimentary, beautiful, versatile, experimental, colourful, eclectic and... addictive!!
Examples of day classes
• Metal clay; all the techniques you need to get started and continue producing beautiful work at home
• Metal Clay; the next steps.. i.e. ring making, keum boo, gem setting, bead making.. (take your pick but not all in one day!)
• Metal clay and polymer clay.. combine the two to produce truly original result (my personal favourite)
• Polymer clay; getting started, from the basics to an overview of the many different ways to move on fast.
• Polymer clay; the next steps, i.e. developing surface design techniques, beautiful beads, complex cane work.. you name it
• Bespoke class? let's talk and design a day specially for you
