Nicky returns to the Borders to this much loved venue, just 1 hour south of Edinburgh, which provides a welcoming and comfortable retreat from the autumn chill. There are spectacular views to rolling Border countryside from the generous windows and a wide variety of mature trees and farm buildings within yards of the studio door. This is an ideal place to get to grips with the soft light of autumn as it slants through the trees and you create dynamic drawings and washes of paint to sum up the fleeting moments and capture the lanscape.
Heriot Toun is a purpose built artist’s studio, has won 6 major design prizes since it was founded by Pat and Andy Law, and is fast becoming the cultural hub of the Borders.
