Traditionally, Life drawing is the corner stone for all applied art practice. This course is aimed at developing the looking and drawing skills as well as passing on the scale and gauging techniques used by the Renaissance artists. You will also learn more modern "size by sight" techniques used by artists since the Renaissance period. This workshop is studio based with a life model. Suitable for anyone wishing to improve their drawing and observation techniques. We will also be doing some work in other media.

Rome - the eternal city. Join us for a history packed week of painting and exploring this breath-taking city. Complete with accommodation in a former monastery with its own archeological site. Don't be surprised if you find yourself sketching from Dusk 'til Dawn on this course.

Seasonal themes - With lots of previous visitors having taken delight in the many seasonal features this beautiful area of Le Marche has to offer, we have now included a seasonal theme to lots of our courses.

Self-catering and B&B weeks - Having welcomed many painters who enjoyed staying for extra weeks after participating in one of our courses we are now offering this great option for experienced artists or anyone who enjoys painting by themselves using our facilities. We are of course at hand for artistic support and any help you need to make your holiday a perfect experience. A great way of experiencing a painting holiday on a small budget.

Price: 7 day courses from 895 Euros p.p. including full-board and accommodation, tuition, art materials, transport to painting locations, day-trip to historical location. Price for non-painting partners 650 Euros. 5-day workshops from 700 Euros p.p. and 550 per non-participating partner. Non painting companions are welcome to accompany us to all locations and excursions at no extra charge.
